NEW YEAR NEW BEGINNINGS

This weekend sees the Mills Motorsport Team head to Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway for the 72nd running of the Victorian Speedcar Championship.

It has been near 4 weeks since the team has competed; contesting the 3rd round of the Speedcar super Series at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway. Squizzy and the 10v machine endured a tough night, never really getting a handle on the track the entire night. A 14th place finish was a disappointing result after a solid start to the season through the previous 3 events.

With 4 weeks in between events, many would have taken the opportunity to take a breather and relax during the Christmas period; but for Mills Motorsport it was quite the opposite.

During the off season there were discussions for a chassis upgrade but do to a large part of the budget going towards the new Eagle motor purchase it just wasn’t feasible at the time. With the help of some very generous and passionate sponsors Mills Motorsport received and early Christmas present in the form of a Spike chassis. The holiday time was consumed with stripping the existing Eagle chassis and building a new car in preparation for a full on assault on the second half of the season.

As we sit here sweltering in Warrnambool on the eve of the second oldest Speedcar race in the world; we are extremely excited to be debuting a car (for the second time this season) amongst almost 30 of Australian’s finest Speedcar pilots.

We’re also very grateful to be partnered with amazing sponsors who clearly go above and beyond to ensure we have what we need to get the job done.

Mills Motorsport would like to thank all our valued partners
